Polyethylene sleeve

Compensation sleeve - a product used as a preventive fence protection. It separates the concrete core from the block, ensuring that any cracks in the core (caused by strong shrinkage of the concrete or freezing of water in the pores) do not spread to the concrete block. The sleeve also reduces the risk of lime efflorescence on the fence.

The polyethylene sleeve is a product designed to minimise the effects of execution errors resulting, for example, from the use of poor quality concrete.

A fence made in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations will retain its strength and aesthetics even without the use of polyethylene sleeve. Even so, it is worth using it as a preventative measure.

Sleeves are available in 50mb rolls. (for blocks RM19 and BRSM) and 25mb. (for other blocks).
