Polyethylene sleeve

Compensation sleeve – a product used as a preventive measure to protect fences. It separates the concrete core from the block, ensuring that any cracks in the core (caused by severe shrinkage of the concrete or freezing water in the pores) do not transfer to the concrete block. The sleeve also reduces the risk of lime efflorescence on the fence.

The polyethylene sleeve is a product designed to minimise the effects of construction errors resulting, for example, from the use of poor-quality concrete.

A fence constructed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations will retain its strength and aesthetics even without the use of a polyethylene sleeve. Nevertheless, it is worth using it as a preventive measure.
